In Islam, cleanliness is half of faith (الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الإِيمَانِ). After menstruation (है़ज़ / حیض), it is obligatory (fard) for a Muslim woman to perform ghusl (ritual purification) before she can resume prayers, fasting, or any act of worship that requires physical purity.
Is There a Specific Dua for Ghusl After Periods?
There is no specific or fixed dua narrated in authentic hadiths that must be said during ghusl after periods. However, there are intentions (niyyah) and recommended duas before and after the ghusl which are important.
1. Niyyah (Intention) for Ghusl
Though niyyah is not to be spoken aloud, it must be made internally with the heart.
Niyyah in Arabic:
نَوَيْتُ رَفْعَ الْحَيْضِ لِلّٰهِ تَعَالٰى
Nawaytu raf‘al-ḥayḍi lillāhi ta‘ālā
I intend to remove the impurity of menstruation for the sake of Allah, the Exalted.
2. Sunnah Method of Ghusl (Based on Hadith)

Ghusl ka Tarika in Hindi (हिंदी में ग़ुस्ल का तरीक़ा):

ग़ुस्ल से पहले बिस्मिल्लाह पढ़ें।
(कहें: बिस्मिल्लाह) -
हैज़ के ग़ुस्ल की नीयत करें (दिल में इरादा करें कि आप हैज़ की नजासत को दूर करने के लिए ग़ुस्ल कर रही हैं)।

हाथों को तीन बार धोएं।

अगर नजासत (गंदगी) लगी हो तो उसे धो लें।

वुज़ू करें जैसे नमाज़ के लिए करते हैं।
(अगर चाहें तो पैर अंत में धो सकती हैं) -
सिर पर तीन बार पानी डालें। बालों की जड़ों तक पानी पहुंचाएं।

फिर पूरे जिस्म पर दायें और बायें तरफ़ से पानी डालें और हर हिस्से को अच्छी तरह धोएं।
Ghusl Ka Tarika in Urdu (اردو میں غسل کا طریقہ):

غسل سے پہلے “بسم اللہ” پڑھیں۔

حیض کے غسل کی نیت کریں۔
(دل میں نیت کریں کہ میں حیض کی نجاست کو دور کرنے کے لیے غسل کر رہی ہوں) -
ہاتھوں کو تین مرتبہ دھوئیں۔

اگر جسم پر ناپاکی ہو تو اسے دھو لیں۔
-
وضو کریں جیسے نماز کے لیے کیا جاتا ہے۔
(چاہیں تو پاؤں آخر میں دھوئیں) -
سر پر تین بار پانی ڈالیں۔ بالوں کی جڑوں تک پانی پہنچائیں۔

پھر پورے جسم پر پانی بہائیں۔ پہلے دائیں، پھر بائیں طرف۔ جسم کے ہر حصے کو اچھی طرح دھوئیں۔
3. Dua After Completing Ghusl
After completing ghusl, you can say the same dua that is recommended after wudu:
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Ashhadu an lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ‘abduhū wa rasūluh.
Meaning:
“I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah alone with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.”
